Was an interesting storm to watch. This & Beryl were definitely unexpected.

Chris was indeed a nice looking hurricane (especially for early July). NHC and Recon did a great job with this one. It and Beryl were a surprise, but things can change quickly in the tropics and the weather in general. They would though serve as reminders for people to have their emergency kits ready. Hopefully Canada won't receive any damage as Chris goes though. He provided some dry air to come though Jax, lowering the dewpoint and humidity, if only for a couple of days. It felt great.

Chris in 2012 was a few weeks earlier. Also alex 2 years ago

Chris in 2012 was a few weeks earlier. Also alex 2 years ago

He was talking about the earliest SECOND hurricane in a season, not the first hurricane in a season.
