Since 1992 we haven't had a hurricane hit Hawaii. But since 2014, we've seen two tropical storms make landfall coming from the east...

It was all right. Rainy and gusty. Some places a lot worse than others especially West Maui.

But right now it's pouring like heck in Honolulu!

Don't look now, but Olivia might not quite be dead. European guidance is beginning to pick the system back up in the WPac.

Here's how the circulation currently looks via ASCAT. It is struggling with the TUTT though.

If its going to redevelop, it's going to have to survive a couple more days of intense shear.

It's lingered a crazy long time as it is, so might as well survive it lol. That is (or at least was earlier) a pretty vigorous remnant low for the Epac/Cpac

Not a meteorologist, in fact more of an idiot than anything. You should probably check with the NHC or a local NWS office for official information.

For what it's worth, despite the heavy shear, this is as impressive a thing you'll see in the CPAC that's not mentioned at all in the TWO

EPS is a little wishy-washy with it. A few more members are picking back up with it after a big trend downwards previously.

I'm skeptical it's going to make it at this point.
