93L is in the Gulf though. It’s been in the cards for a while.

Might go around periphery of high pressure towards Texas.

Looks like a TD, to me. Heading for Mexico. Coworker says NHC has Stacy Stewart tied to his chair and stuffed into a closet. Otherwise, the NHC would be issuing advisories on the Gulf low that looks better than 3 named systems this year, plus the TD in the East Atlantic. ;-)

If you get a chance could you post one of your wind field plot maps. I’m guessing it’s try to consolidate near 23.4 N 92.0 W which is north of where most of models have it. Which could bring y’all a bit more rain if it is in fact that far north.

I agree it looks like a TD on satellite, can you highlight the center possibly?...it looks to me like this disturbance, is moving towards the Texas coast?

If not a TD already very close to it, though the circulation might still be kind of broad with no defined LLC just yet. Good chance of becoming a TS before making landfall as usually in this part of the GOM.

This one looks pretty good. Lots of convection, circulation definitely closed, but appears broad. The environment for this one looks good so I wouldn't be surprised to see this one be a TC

This post was probably an opinion of mine, and in no way is official. Please refer to http://www.hurricanes.gov for official tropical analysis and advisories.

The real question is How much rain this will bring to northeast Mexico and south Texas?, I hope it brings a well amount here in Mexico, especially here in Monterrey.

I'm near Beaumont, Tx. Our local met also agrees south of Brownsville. Just wondering what steering currents are influencing this track.

I'll bet your local met is Greg Bostwick. I went to school at A&M with Greg back in the 1970s. I estimated the low center (approx) on the image below. That ship to the NE appears to either have a bad wind direction or it reported the wrong ship coordinates.

Impressive broad cyclonic turning. Didn't think it had time to possibly organize but now wouldn't be shocked to have a brief system out of this right before it makes landfall.

Not a meteorologist, in fact more of an idiot than anything. You should probably check with the NHC or a local NWS office for official information.
