Lets hope so too, conditions look a lot lesss favourable than it did yesterday. Lots of dry air mass to the north of the trailing edge. I dont see this getting any stronger today , or definitely not a repeat of yesterdays impressive comeback

It really looks like it's in a final weakening stage - as the models have indicated, it may open into a wave and in some ways it's beginning to appear that way...

I feel like its forward speed of 15 mph (per the NHC) is starting to make it more difficult for convection to keep up with the LLC. Which could inhibit further organisation. We'll see.

Is the center fully closed still even? Sure was trying last night but seems to be slowly losing it again

Not a meteorologist, in fact more of an idiot than anything. You should probably check with the NHC or a local NWS office for official information.

Not too surprising that it's on its way out. Gonzalo reminded me of Beryl, and I do believe it may have reached hurricane status two days ago.

I am only a tropical weather enthusiast. My predictions are not official and may or may not be backed by sound meteorological data. For official information, please refer to the NHC and NWS products.

Sure was fun to watch though, shouldn't have existed at all and almost became a hurricane while giving us our July MDR storm for climo. Would have liked to see an official hurricane but hey its very existence is overperformance lol

Looking less healthy again after last night's attempt at a more well defined CDO. At this point I would heavily favor this to dissipate within the next few days or so, which is in line with the NHC forecast.

I know it's all about the facts, but all this talk about Gonzalo being dead reminds me of past seasons and getting a major from a dead system.

Talk about a roller coaster of a storm. Poor Gonzy, that dry air has really been bugging him.

I notice they're still forecasting a peak of 60 knots before it reaches the islands. Does anyone think strengthening like that could occur before passing through, perhaps due to the small size?

Recon will be there in the next hour or two. May not be much left to see when they get there. I don't know if Gonzalo still has an LLC.

I think this will be downgraded soon that vigourous core seems to have run out of fuel.

Looks like garbage. No spiral banding.

My posts are my own personal opinion, defer to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and other NOAA products for decision making during hurricane season.

I feel bad for this little guy. He put up a good fight but the dry air is proving to be too much for him. We’ll see if he can recover like he did yesterday but it’s not looking good.

Looking more like an open wave at this point.
