One would think that one of our satellite resolutions would be able to capture an exposure that would identify where the eye was.

Significant impacts for Jax late tonight into Monday morning. Storm surge impacts along the Saint Johns River and its tributaries and the Intracoastal Waterway are very possible, and 50 mph TS winds.

Still very slow movement and I am surprised how relatively steady the pressure is staying.

Center over that past couple of hours.has moved very little on radar imagery, almost srationary about 55 miles east/southeast of Fort Lauderdale.

There is strong spiral rain band on radar rotating toward the coast of Palm Beach at this hour. This band surely has TS wind that will inpact within the next 30 -40 minutes there.

Anyone still think it could become a hurricane again before landfall?

the western side of the "eyewall" very well could be onshore in the next hour...considering how messy the system has been the last day, the modeling(the ones that matter) has actually been very good and of course nhc track guidance been outstanding out to 5 days

This cyclone has already proven itself in his lifespan. Could it get back to Cat 1? Yes. But at this juncture being a strong TS and Cat 1 is not much of a difference at all as impacts still similar, if it maintains the expected track of scrapping the coast

Isaias looks to be the I-95 cyclone right up the Eastern U.S. Seaboard

Appears to be moving with a purpose now and it appears that the HH had no problem finding the center.

You can finally see the center on radar at the end of the loop.
