I know there is little model support for this, but looks pretty good this morning. LLC, convection, some banding.

Another tropical wave over the far eastern tropical Atlantic located
a few hundred miles south-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands is
producing a concentrated area of showers and thunderstorms. Some
development of this system is possible over the next several days
while it moves westward to west-northwestward at 10 to 15
mph over the eastern tropical Atlantic. Upper-level winds are
forecast to become less conducive for development by the weekend.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...low...30 percent.

Clearly the LLC riding the 10N line and maybe ducked down to WSW last few frames. 12z models take 98L NW now and it's clearly moving due W or slightly S of due W.

Any chance 98L can sneakily and quietly push onto the west more than expected?

I think that LLC is rotating around a broader LLC

Why don't these storms have a invest designator on our map?

The map that we had was not working properly so we nixed it but let's see if we can have a new graphic soon.

Thanks, it really helps to have the invest on the map in order to locate the proper discussion. What is the one in the southern Caribbean ?

LLC moving W and finishes @10N/29W. If that is the LLC it is not moving WNW or NW like the 18z models show.

From all the latest satellite loops I've seen, I think it's already starting to move in a WNW direction.

A tropical wave over the far eastern tropical Atlantic located
several hundred miles southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands is
producing a disorganized area of showers and thunderstorms. Some
development of this system is possible over the next several days
while it moves west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph over the eastern
tropical Atlantic. Upper-level winds are forecast to become less
conducive for development by this weekend.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent.
