Latest ASCAT missed the center but compared to the last pass, the NE/E quadrants have gotten stronger, up to 30kt winds.

Shear hitting it from every angle. It's a tug of war between warming SST's and increasing south westerly shear.

That something bad could happen as soon as tomorrow if that convective mass does not go away. If this feature maintains itself and makes it over Oahu and pulsates for 6 hours while inland it's gonna be a mess.

Because the Euro and other models are bringing 50mph gusts and 5 inches of rain with a satellite IR appearance like this:

I try to refrain from criticizing professional meteorologists, but it really is baffling to me why tropical cyclone advisories have not been re-initiated.

We'll see if it manages to refire convection once again. It has done so each time the sun went up.

I'm not so sure Linda is going to follow the CPHC track. Looks like it's climbing and may make landfall over Molokai

Has been devoid of deep convection for about 5 hours so this may be time to declare this a post-tropical remnant low if it doesn’t return by tonight.

Raining pretty consistently here in south Oahu. Not much wind yet. Shouldn't be much wind till another 6-8 hours from now.

Best case scenario is the LLC weakens enough that it can no longer produce the consistent deep convection that it did the past 48 hours. In terms of track best case scenario is the center goes over or north of Oahu to keep all the more intense weather further north. Any track south of Oahu is going to bring bad weather to Oahu and Kauai.

Slight convection has returned. I think this still qualifies as a tropical cyclone.

I can confirm in my area it's straight up tropical storm conditions now.

For what it's worth, Kuaokala on the western tip of Oahu is up to 31kt gusting 49kt.

Yeah the moisture is more towards Kahuku, Hauula, Kaneohe, Waimanalo and Honolulu. Kalihi side non stop. Can tell the rain and gusts we're seeing are different from those regular trade wind showers. So many more new potholes. Still have the back end of the storm to go through.
