Does Sable Island have a weather station? It looks like it’s gonna get a great deal of wind and rain from Larry.

Does anyone know why the NHC provides a forecast out to a lead time which would put the storm well into the mid-latitudes and extra-tropical? The last forecast point from the 9am advisory is at 60N, 42W. I don't think that many people are worrying about a Greenland landfall. I'm surprised they don't just cap the forecast at 36 hours.

Does Larry have a weaker, but similar track to Igor in 2010?

All observations are in Tecumseh, OK unless otherwise noted.

Winter posts are focused mainly for Oklahoma & Texas.

Take any of my forecasts with a grain of salt, refer to the NWS, SPC, and NHC for official information

Funny enough there's a Ferry 20 minutes away from here that takes you directly to Eastern Newfoundland.

If this were stronger I would have definitely considered it.

I wonder if the wind estimate is conservative? It still looks very tropical and appears to have a closed eyewall at last radar check.

If there's a clear trackable eye into Newfoundland, I wonder if NHC will do hourly position estimates?

Larry could end up being worse than Igor for Newfoundland in terms of wind impacts. Most of Igor's damage was done by flooding
