Thanks! Couple problems with that though, it would require Python code to be automatically run somewhere. Also, the code breaks from time to time (e.g. when there are typos in NHC products, or the formatting changes, or the NHC servers block my HTTP requests :P) so the map would be broken/outdated way more often than the official NHC map. And it is optimized for the resolution of my monitor (2560x1440), so the font sizes on the full map would be way too small when resized to the resolution of the current forum map.

3. A tropical wave is moving offshore the west coast of Africa and
into the far eastern tropical Atlantic. Upper-level winds are
forecast to be conducive for gradual development, and a tropical
depression is likely to form in a few days while the system moves
westward to west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph over the far eastern
tropical Atlantic.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...40 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...high...80 percent.

I know looks can be deceiving, but this is already getting the looks of a TD:

Since it's late September I would think this should be a recurve. Hopefully it can become something solid while going OTS. Should be a race to Victor between this and the wave to the west.

I am in no way a professional. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I could be totally wrong. Please refer to the NHC, NWS, or SPC for official information.

Would be really helpful to mark the invest numbers on the map at the top of the page, is that possible?

It's the map directly from the NHC site, so no. The one they used to have with the invest numbers, SSHWS categories etc broke a few months ago and crashed the forum.

What's the furthest south a storm has ever developed in the Atlantic?

Isadore became a TD at 7.2N in 1990.

A storm from 1902 has a BT of being a TS at 7.7N. In the modern era, the lowest latitude TS is Kirk in 2018 at 8.1N.

This is everything in the Atlantic database south of 8.5N
