Not much SFMR over 75kts though. I think 80kts is a good blend of the current data.

I am in no way a professional. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I could be totally wrong. Please refer to the NHC, NWS, or SPC for official information.

Nigel clearly does not know what he wants. Does he want to become a major hurricane, or does he want to become a remnant low?

Pretty circular hurricane. Don't know if it's annular but these types of hurricanes are always pretty to look at.

Wow came by to check on Nigel and wasn't expecting this. May flirt with being a major after all. Giving me Isabel 03 vibes right now. Obviously nowhere near as strong but that eye is MASSIVE.

If these storms are actually reading this forum we should probably be nicer to them.

Definitely firing up compared to earlier. At this point, while I wouldn't be surprised if Nigel doesn't make it to a major I also wouldn't be surprised if it does.

Slightly off topic but can someone tell me why the "storm" near the SE coast and the storm moving across the Atlantic towards the Leeward Islands doesn't have an "X" imbedded in them?

The one near the SE US coast hasn't actually formed/appeared yet, and the one in the Atlantic is starting to move off of Africa now I think. They usually mark them with Xs when they're able to be tracked if I recall correctly.

Dry air hitting the core again so it looks like it will be on the decline from here on out. Ended up becoming a good-looking Cat 2 which isn't terrible by any means but considering the conditions it had and the NHC's initial bullishness I'm disappointed this didn't become a major, especially since it's an OTS storm.
