I still expect rapid activity decline here by mid November, I hope actually because if there is actvity, it means another system to watch.

Those who went away for a while after Wilma moved away from Florida and returned tonight found out that yes we have another Cyclone in the Atlantic Basin.That is why you have to stay at this forum as things change quickly in the tropics and especially on this extremely active 2005 season that doesn't know what climatology is.

The forum is less active now that Beta has made landfall and that invest 92L may not develop but dont go away from the forum or from storm2k because all year around you have plenty to post about in the winter forum,US Weather forum,Off-Topic forum and in all the other ones.And in this talking tropics forum which will not close like in other places you will find plenty of information about the cyclones around the world,about how is el nino/la nina doing,and to start discussions about the 2006 season.

Hurricane season ist not over - so why should we go away?

There is a system in the southwestern caribbean with low shear and exploding convection. One or more storms are still possible in this season.

And from December to April something may form in the southern atlantic - so I will stay and watch...

Look what is occuring now with the developing system in the caribbean and some went away thinking that it was over for the 2005 season.That is why you have to stick here all the time as you never know what will occur in the tropics as they are full of surprises.

Here are the two strongest storms from last season in the SW Indian Ocean:

Bento: 23/11/2004 12:00 75.15 8.50 6.5 CYCLONE tropical intense 915 115 kt, 212 km/h 162 kt, 300 km/h

Adeline-Juliet: 09/04/2005 12:00 68.50 17.89 7.0 CYCLONE tropical très intense 905 120 kt, 222 km/h 169 kt, 313 km/h

I don't have any link archives for South Pacific storms though so you'd have to search on here for Kerry, Meena, Nancy, Olaf, Percy, and Rae.
