VDM = Vortex Data Message. Its a message sent by the recon planes in the storm giving a bunch of info like center location, temps, dew points, winds, ect.

DMAX = Diurnal maximum. Its the radial cooling of the upper atmoshere during the night and early morning that can cause increased thunderstorms in tropical systems.

I concur, the term MDR popped out of nowhere and now it's being used all over....and the best meaning I can pull from context is "the Tropical Atlantic between the Windward and Cape Verde Islands and south of 20N". I have no idea what the letters actually stand for.

The z stands for Zulu which is the same as UTC and GMT timezone standards. The number in front of it is the 24-hour hour like 0, 6, 12, and 18.

Haven't seen this yet:

PDS - Particularity Dangerous Situation

I fixed a couple dozen typos in the list. Did you know that if you post using FireFox that it has a feature which identifies typos as you finish a word? Of course, it won't recognize these acronyms, but it does know that "atmosphere" is not spelled "atmoshpere" as it was throughout the list. It's a very useful tool.
