Maybe the streak continues after post-season reanalysis?

Unlikely. There would have to be direct evidence of TS winds, and there was none. The depression was in a relatively low pressure environment, too, meaning that winds around the center were possibly even lower than estimated. So with no surface obs or QuikSCAT winds, this one can't be upgraded.

Terrible salesmanship by the Spanish to name Boca Raton the way they did.

Boca Chica, would have been so much better. And if it is like the English, where the river Wey enters the Atlantic being "Weymouth", than having a Rio Raton reflects an equally poor sense of real estate judgement.

OK, I know Puerto Rico and Costa Rica were already taken, but Disney's great-great grandfather wasn't even alive when they could have slapped on the name "Buena Vista".

Of course, I do admire the whole "Florida" naming thing.

On an unrelated and equally off-topic note, if Vermont is supposedly the Green Mountain State, than it should be Verdmont or Verdemont.

Vermont means "worm mountain" in French.

Back on topic

Well, Ed you're obvious into linquistics some. I get what your saying, also being sometimes accused of running on during a lightbulb moment  . Then again, it's always possible you mixed up your forums altogether, but I doubt that. :P

Isn't Boca Chica on Yamato east of I-95?

Does this early storm indicate anything about the rest of the season?
