The low is pretty clearly between MIA (which is reporting the lowest pressure at 29.43) and Andros Island, and rotation can be seen on radar with heavier T-storms near the center:

It actually may be more organized now than it's ever been.

Very heavy rain here. Many roads are now being closed in Craven and Jones county from water running across them. The police scanner has been very busy with reports from officers as they find roads that are impassible, and it is starting to cause some difficulty with them getting around when they get calls. Numerous reports of cars stalling out as foolish people try and drive through the water.

Wind starting to pick up here. Still no rain since this am. A good thing no doubt, but am wonderring wheather I will have to eat some crow tommorow. It seems that the forecast call for a lot of rain here tommorow because the precip will head east. Has yet to be seen though. So far we have been very lucky, hope it hold out.
Btw mets, our local forecast on Mon and Tues is calling for winds and rain again. Again winds of 27 to 50 and heavy rains. Is this remants of Nicole that was left behind in the carib they are referring too?

Nicole might not be an ex-tropical storm much longer. This is the gulf stream.

Do you think is there some possibility of new NHC advisories? I think they issued the last one too soon.

Wind chart at Molasses reef, just off Upper Keys. From watching radar, it looks like the spinning is just to our east now, and a little band of backside convection is heading from the northwest into the lower keys -- but nothing to work with on the dry side there. I'm about to go outside and see if I can feel the change.

Hopefully the Bay side won't kick up. Stay safe!

There doesn't appear to be any circulation left now.
