WPAC: INVEST 90W
A surprise new invest has been designated well east in the basin, back near the International Date Line (tagged at 8.0*N, 177.0*E). Models support is pretty much nil and my expectations are low for it, but it certainly doesn't hurt to keep an eye on it.

ASCAT shows a very weak and broad, and messy circulation on the monsoon trough right at the invest's tagged location. This might actually be why it was declared an invest.
