Ohio Valley; Spring/Summer '17

#1 Postby WeatherGuesser » Sun Jan 29, 2017 7:54 pm

May be jumping the gun a bit, but why not? It's been more Spring than Winter for weeks now. We're more than half way through DJF winter and about halfway through 12/21 to 3/21 winter. OK, so we got several inches of snow in March last year.

I can only hope the mild continues into the Summer and it doesn't stray into excessively hot and dry.

Oh good, just what I need. Two days of showers and storms with heavy rain possible at times. That ought to do wonders for the areas of loose soil I have tilled up where the grass seed hasn't grown in well yet.

PAH is using the S word a couple of times for next week, with HIGHS in the 30s and lows in the 20s. Haven't seen much of that at all in the past few months, whatever season you want to call it.

Going to get COLD here but the big snows going north or south. I like snow, not a crippling event but a few inches to end the winter would be nice.

Spring???????

HA!!!!!

I have more snow on the ground this morning than my October-February cumulative total.

I may have to pull the Hibiscus in the house from the garage since the garage may get too cold tonight.

:froze: :cold:

And yet more of whatever that white stuff is.

I'm becoming more and more convinced of that 'season shift' that's been mentioned here.

I only count about 18 or so nights with lows of 20 or below since November 1st, yet we're forecast for that area tonight and tomorrow night.

We got a dusting, but enough last night before sunset to make everything look like a winter wonder land.

Bring on spring!

Trying again for Spring I guess. Temps have turned mild again, no more 30s in the forecast, but chances of rain are. Everyday.

Ground already squishes under my feet. I need to do some tilling, but mud doesn't till real well.

50 with a cold north wind.

Weird that it was warmer than this for most of January and February.
