Ha ha! I know, buddy, I know. Mother Nature must have seen my poor mope posting earlier today and thought "ah heck, I'll give the poor fella one thrill this winter."

Lots of reports from around the metro area of snow and sleet mixing with the rain. Kudos to wxman57. He delivered!

Snow is extremely light here in southeast Bryan. I guess you would call it flurries? I'm not real good with snow terminology. However, it is the only type of precipitation falling here right now.

I'm thinking the band passing though Austin will probably pass south of me, but it is interesting to see it try to extend to the northeast. This would be a great event to watch with GOES-16.

It's all snow now, here at the Rain Cave, or I should temporarily change the name to the Snow Cave.

North Texas will probably get a shot or two this year. I'm happier for the long-suffering central/south Texas folks (esp. Austin). :froze:

Well, the good news is that the HRRR has missed this snow band set up for Austin. It hasnt been very friendly for us today.

The HRRR nailed the 2011 system where we ended up with nothing. So far its not doing well.

Really decent band lined up for Austin, enjoy it!

You don't see a radar like this everyday on this board. Years of waiting and it's really happening!!! Legit snow in Austin!

Five years from now "remember that winter when?..."

The weather office in College Station is reporting light snow and 38 degrees at this hour. The changeover to snow is taking place and the changeover should be approaching the NW areas of Greater Houston later tonight.

I DO think that there will be significant snow across Texas NEXT winter. Even in Austin...

I believe in a later post I mentioned the 2nd or 3rd week of December was when you would see snow. I come through for my friends, and it's not even winter yet.
