Chris a precursor?

#1 Postby OuterBanker » Tue Jul 24, 2018 3:05 pm

Cycloneye posted a thread on Beryl, no one has posted on Chris. I think that Chris is a more appropriate comparable. It is what I think will the biggest concern for the US will be for the rest of the season. In close development has always been the biggest fear and concern for the EOC. Mainly because of the lack of warning time. If Chris had headed to the coast instead of out to sea there would been no time to evacuate the residents and tourist here on the Outer Banks. Luckily, the omnipresent east coast saving trough was there to shunt him out to sea and his path was pretty much set in stone. Unfortunately, as the season progresses and the Bermuda high builds this trough usually gets shifted west to around the Ohio valley putting the entire east coast at risk. I wanted to say more but our emergencey broadcast system just went off.
