I wonder what a NE relocation would do to the tracks. It would track closer to Jamaica for sure.

Not sure if there's much left of the LLC other than a sharp trough though it is moving over better UL conditions but it is caught in the low level jet, it will be tough for the LLC to make a come back soon unless it slows down even more soon.

Recon isn't finding an LLC yet. Looks like an open wave, to me. Die Isaac, die!

Can't see any low level details but there are lightning strikes circling round near the latest hot tower close to 15N. Worth checking the models later since they should have all the layers accounted for better than us blob watchers.

Fairly decent southwest winds so far on recon, very weak WSW winds, no true westerlies yet. Still a lot of searching left. I’d keep Isaac a tropical cyclone for now with the uptick in convection. The convection could help it get back going again.

My phone keeps wanting to automate 'Isaac' to 'Ike' and it's like...please just stop..no, just no.

He's the little engine that could(n't). He's trying to desperately cling to life by firing convection, but he's still moving at 16mph. He's not dead (yet), Jim.

Still got to keep an eye on Isaac if it survives the graveyard or if it regenerates in the western Caribbean. Those systems always have to be watched. Who knows what models show in the next couple days.

Yeah not much uniformity to him anymore but I think I saw a 103.4 mb drop (reading) and TS force winds in the northern quad.

A dropsonde reported SW winds of 34 mph at the surface. That may be NHC's reasoning for keeping Isaac a TC on the 18z best track.

Looks like an elongated wave axis with a low embedded, could regenerate down the road in the western Carib. if it slows and shear really relaxes. These small systems play heck with the models.

Or, converesly, Isaac speaking for himself: "I'm not dead yet! I don't want to go on the cart!"
