Re: NEW MOON PATH 2018
This month the New Moon is passing through some warm water.
December 2017 the pass was nearly in the same place, and there was a deadly 6.5 magnitude earthquake near the city of Tasikmalaya on the island of Java.

Re: NEW MOON PATH 2018
The December annual global water vapor is still intact. Clearly the spring of 2017 was a wet anomaly, and seems to be reflected in the year over year sea surface temperatures.

Re: NEW MOON PATH 2019
The first New Moon pass of the year crosses Australia. 1/6th of the earthquakes (127) of last months pass were around New Caledonia. This has been an active area for years. The magnitude of the quakes have been large, but no damage or deaths have been attributed to them.

Re: NEW MOON PATH 2019
The amount of global water vapor coverage at the New Moon is still climbing in a channel. Over the last 4 years the coverage has increased by 50%. The trend of higher lows on the chart for the last 6 months is unique for the length of the database.

The February 2019 Moon Path is in the South Pacific, This a geologic active area, with lots of fault lines.

Re: NEW MOON PATH 2019
The trend in global water vapor continues to rise. This month marks a change in the February February year over year growth. Instead of a higher year over year February there was a 1.1 percent decrease.

Re: NEW MOON PATH 2019
The New Moon's path is ascending crossing to the northern hemisphere on the last day of the phase. There is some warm surface water along the path, and some active geology in the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. Earthquake frequency has been diminishing over the past few months.

Re: NEW MOON PATH 2019
Global water vapor coverage continues to climb, at some point I expect the plot to look sinesiod, but currently the plot has been linear. Total water vapor in higher than last month and higher year over year. I would think that a greater amount of water vapor would eventually show up as having a cooling effect.

Re: NEW MOON PATH 2019
This is the April 2019 plot of the New Moon phase. The sea surface temperature is quite warm The entire pass is over 26° or warmer water. There are lots of volcanoes in the region. The Earth Moon distance index indicates a lower global earthquake frequency. There is a hypothesis out there that the New moon crossing the equator tweeks the frequency. That will definitely be tested here.

Re: NEW MOON PATH 2019
The April 2019 global water vapor plot still presents a picture that shows a trend of increased cloud cover as the latitude of the midsummer New Moon moves north.

Re: NEW MOON PATH 2019
This is the May 2019 New Moon Path. The sea surface element is from last week. The new raster is usually posted on Monday, but not this week.
The strongest gravitational anomaly will be in an Area of Interest to me in that it is where TD1(2000) formed, seems like a lot of shear though.
There are a number of volcanoes along the path. Popocatépetl is erupting and is just north of the path on May 6th.

Re: NEW MOON PATH 2019
May 2019 might be the first sign of maximum global water vapor for this lunar epoch. The latitude of the mid summer New Moon is about 22.5°. It will reach 28° or 29° in another 6 years, but the further north the Moon reaches the larger the percentage of land to water, and the cooler the water is in the section. It seems to me that at a point in less than 6 years the growth of water vapor at the New Moon will turn negative.

Re: NEW MOON PATH 2019
This the June 2019 moon path. A dry region of the planet. The path is north or the local geologically active area. The Arabian Sea is very warm. There is an active invest in the Caribbean.

Re: NEW MOON PATH 2019
There is still an upward trend to the growth of water vapor at the New Moon. It seems to be flatting. There are 5 years left in the semi epoch. It seems like the sign of the year over year tangent will be continually negative before then.

Re: NEW MOON PATH 2019
This is the July 2019 Moon Path location. Looks like it is over cooler water in the east Pacific, then The sub point passes over a geologic active area, and proceeds into the Gulf of Mexico.

Re: NEW MOON PATH 2019
The water vapor rate is steady. Global cloud cover seems to increasing at about 5 percent a year. At this rate heavy cloud cover will double in a couple of decades.

Re: NEW MOON PATH 2019
This month there was a big pop in the global earthquake count at the 7 day New Moon Phase. The Earth Moon distance was mid range which has been quite. Coincidentally the alignment of Jupiter with Venus, Earth, Moon and the Sun may have had some influence on the issue combined with the fact that the Moon's longitude was passing over a geologically active area. The Moon has made passes over this type of area before without a big frequency pop, so if there is a relationship there has to be more than one factor involved

Re: NEW MOON PATH 2019
The 2019 August New Moon passes over the west Pacific skirting the 28-29 Celsius line. The New moon alignment is directly over a geologic active area.

Re: NEW MOON PATH 2019
Global water vapor is little changed year over year. It is high relative to 2015. The December high point expectation is for a cycle high.
