Hurricane Dorian Local Observations, Info

#1 Postby artist » Sun Sep 01, 2019 7:39 am

Post observations you have on Dorian here as it begins to hit land areas, as well as any important info, webcams, news sites, etc.
Our prayers are with all that may be effected by Dorian. Prepare now, and stay safe. Please listen to local officials.
The Bahamas will be the next to be effected by Dorian.

Overcast and pleasant in Port Saint Lucie. Breezy. Thinking about burgers and dogs at noon this Labor Day.

Traffic cams on Interstate 26 show that those in S.C. are evacuating. Hardly anyone traveling eastbound. Contra flow starts in an hour.

W Boca: outer bands beginning to make their presence known, with rain and wind, but nothing very significant. Very loud thunder/

Had a few squall lines come through at my locale near the beach today, most recent one just came through, I estimate gusts in the 35-40mph range.

And if it comes in closer to the coast you can probably add a foot or 2 on top of that, and that is if he doesn't re-intensify.

We really need to keep the Bahama’s in our prayers and any others that might be effected. The devastation on some areas is just numbing. But they are strong and will recover. Pray for their continued strength.
