I would hedge bets on ragweed. August and September is peak ragweed season, many confuse it for cold and sinus. Quite prevalent in the southeast US where summer rains keeps it lush and green for late summer/early fall pollination!
It's always lush and green in Louisiana, if you're allergic to anything that grows, it's tough.

If this Fall is a repeat of 2012/13, then yes you will be tricker-treating in shorts and a t-shirt. It was 83 on Halloween 2012
