This is all my fault, ever since I made that post a few years ago making fun of Porta and Austin's snow dome comparing it to this spot in my shower where the water always went around leaving it dry, DFW has gotten very little snow. Unfortunately since I was living in DFW at the time that was the place that got cursed(though you could argue this winter has been even worse up in Columbus).

The pessimist in me is not getting my hopes up any time soon but the models seem to be catching onto something

It's not pessimism. It's being a realist born from experience, and years of Lucy pulling the football.

Over 2" in the gauge this morning. 1.5" of that amount was just overnight. Standing puddles in yard.

It’s been a big bust down here in SETX. The whole area has hardly had any measurable rainfall and we were supposed to get 1-3”

yeah way too early to get worked up but I'm intrigued that the Euro/EPS is more bullish this time. That was always lacking last week...

Of course now the 12z Euro is way less interesting :spam:

Probably will be. After several days of clouds and rain, I am ready to see some sun. Maybe San Angelo to Wichita Falls can cash in once again next week.

I am not very good with ALL the terminology on here and am just really learning to read the GFS and such. Anyways, is the 18z GFS showing a multi day event or am I reading it all wrong. It looks to me like at least 36-48 hrs of possible winter weather for North Texas, especially in Abilene area. Thanks for your help.

EDIT-I do know it is a predictive model and no guarantee.
