00z FWD sounding is ugly. Big cap and basically no CAPE lol

I remember when there was an 80% chance of svr storms tonight

Had 3 rounds of hail here at the Rain Cave. The first round was the one that dropped the most though. Here's a picture that I took.

Been getting a lot of heavy rain and its still coming down with lots of lightning.

Wow, what a night. The core of the rotation went over my parent's house in SA about an hour ago. I was quite concerned. Thankfully they just reported some wind gusts up to 50-60 mph and now some beneficial rainfall!

We'll likely have another MCS move through tomorrow night. I love it!

it seems like the rain is getting less impressive when it gets closer... tomorrow was 80-90% now its 40%

if you look at the hi-res models it basically goes around DFW  although NBC 5's futurecast thing has a line for lunchtime tomorrow(we'll see about that lol)

kind of sounds like winter :spam:

how on earth is there a cap in this setup?

MCV has developed just SW of Austin. Helping push more bands of heavy rain into the metro. Feels like a mini tropical storm tonight.

Got two inches of rain overnight. Mostly moderate and heavy. No hail. Beneficial!

DFW approaching 1.25" for the day and has collected over 6" in the last 10 days. By this afternoon, DFW should be approaching 10" above normal for the year.

Models taking away the 2nd mcs tonight for austin.

I mean if this long awaited pattern change only brought us 1 night of rain, it is a pretty big underachiever. Hopefully models are wrong abt tonight though.

There has been a pretty major bias from models this spring to stall systems. This one is looking much more progressive now than before. As did the last one

Yeah I learned from the last one not to get my hopes up. Thankful for the one inch we’ve received so far.

Euro Weeklies keep the party going into July for most of the State. Also, BoC has a really wet look with a pretty impressive CAG. Might need to watch the Gulf for some early season action.

:uarrow: I love the looks of that! Keep this wet pattern going all summer and I'll be very happy!

Another complex of storms is about to move through SA! This one looks much weaker than last night though.

.07" is all that fell tonight  Very frustrating. Positive side is the excellent light show. So far, 2.2" in total from this event (all came yesterday)

Surprise storm complex moved through around 830 this morning from the hill country into western portions of the city before fizzling. Got penny size hail and .84" of rain! 5" an hour rain rate!

As expected, SPC upgraded. Wouldn't be surprised to see a MOD for tomorrow.
