I hope everyone got gas for their generators. It’s not gonna be a beast but it’s knocking out power

Kind of impressed as well that despite having no convection for most of the day, the latest dropsonde still suggests pressure is around 992-993 mb.

995 mb dropsonde was found just now with a 28 KT surface wind.

Having a small tropical storm so close to land, creeping along over this hot water, heading into evening... It kind of reminds me of season 2 of Stranger Things where Dustin finds a baby demogorgan and decides to keep it as a pet...

**** This is not a forecast, I'm not an expert, but just a long time observer ****

IMHO, the slowing of the forward movement plus development overnight provides a chance for old Isa to re-intensify into a formidable coast scraping Cat 1.

I would prefer a dissipation but the conditions should improve a little in its favor.

There has been a more NNW jog confirmed by recon as the LLC moves to meet the convection.

Another thing to note if you see the blowup there is no evidence of the high clouds being blown to the east as you can see right along the fla se coast.

There is also a bunch of convection blowing up over SE FL that could moisten the air. If moves north it has to go under convection

Who said Isaias was dead?

Stacy Stewart being pretty aggressive. He thinks land friction and Gulf Stream waters will crank Isaias up tonight. We shall see.

Tstorms knock out the FPL grid everyday, lets not give this system more credit than it deserves in terms of making FPl look worse than they are :D

I wouldn’t be shocked. I just told my wife I think we might wake up with strengthening cane off our coast. Hopefully if it gets rolling it stays further off shore

And people are wondering why Isaias is expected to re-strengthen once he taps into a favorable environment...

Clouds look ominous here in palm city but still no action. Has it reached you yet in PSL.

Never mind it just started pouring

I refuse to criticize Florida Flicker and Light.

They do a great job for the lantern and candle industry. :ggreen:
