Doesn't at all feel like a strong TS here im Boca. We are supposed to be about to get the western "eyewall" but just 20mph winds right now.

Just nothing here in West Boca. Hard to believe given that loop.

Peak winds in boca should be from about 6-9 am but not too heavy

I would think too be expected given the loop. Looks like a tiny tiny ring around the "eye". It's just a naked swirl. Not usually strong winds with that.

Looks like once again the Bahamas will take the brunt of the storm.

Yep. Pretty much a non event for FL. I'm certainly not getting anything worst than an afternoon thunderstorm here.

It’s kinda weird. I’d you look at the wind field map boca is in a weird pocket outside the wind field. It has an odd shape

Yeah, the Bahamas have really had it rough the past 11 months with monster Dorian, Isaias, and the COVID-19 pandemic on top of all that.
Please keep the Bahamian people in your thoughts and prayers!

Now, it is not over yet The cyclone will bring a strong on shore flow as it moves along up the East Coast the next 24 hours, and there is a threat of storm surge up here in the Saint Johns River and Intracoastal Waterway , especially during the time of high tidelate tonight into early Monday along the Northeast Florida Coast.
Plus, we will see wind to TS ,with some higher gusts at the beach.
So, this still points toward a rather significant event before its all said and done for East Central and Northeast Florida.

Honestly think our strongest winds were in that squall line yesterday afternoon.

NHC did a fantastic job on track and strength by predicting all of the obstacles well in advance. They seem to be getting better and better at predicting intensity. We are well equipped to handle this in Florida. Thankfully it didnt turn out worse with all the COVID stuff.

The one thing that I am eating crow is that I did not believed the models showing how much shear and dry air Isaias was to going to have in NW Bahamas and over the gulf stream, this has been an area in which conditions were fairly good in the past couple of years.
It had way better UL conditions in the Caribbean than in this area, that should be a warning for the Caribbean Islands once the dust settles down later this month.

Great video as always Mike! I still remember when you and Zack used to do recordings together, way back in the day, if memory serves me correct.

Pulse up in IR convection just like the CAMs predicted, but the shear is just brutal now so probably for naught.

Hard to believe for you in SE FL that there's a storm just a few miles offshore, but due to the shear the worst of the wx is well offshore.

Florida has dodged yet another bullet. I'm not sure how many bullets they can dodge!
