Gulf Shores now appears to be inside the northern part of the eye. The center of the eye (landfall point) is about 12 miles out still. Moving toward landfall in the next hour and a half, like I’ve been saying all night.

Honestly an upgrade to Cat.3 wouldn’t hurt them. Technically the 111MPH translates to roughly 96.5 kt and there’s quite a bit of data supporting that I believe.
115MPH/100kt would be the max soooo it could go either way..

In a few minutes we will get the eastern eyewall data. I believe 110 mph is good honestly in my opinion.

Needs to tighten up that eye with some convection and it's a Cat 3 imo. Otherwise winds won't make it to the surface.

Pensacola going to get hit hard by that eyewall. Being stuck east of the eye means lots of flooding rains...

So I'm on my Lanai with a strong cup of coffee and a Padron 64th Anniversary Cigar saying hello Sally watching the pines doing Yoga.

Yeah it won't landfall until the center gets ashore, not to mention that northern eyewall is about to be replaced by something well offshore.

Center of circulation is now about 7 miles south of Gulf Shores per radar. Landfall is imminent.
