Huh? What do you mean "Impressive for an Atlantic Storm" LOL  There have been MANY far more impressive.

Oh yeah most definitely. I just meant we don't see CDG all that often over here  And yes just 2020

Wrapping CDG all the way around a clear eye is almost always a category 5 hurricane. That would be a minimum T7.0 even if the eye wasn't spectacular.

What is the highest Dvorak number possible without an eye? T5.0 on an embedded center?

Cold Tops are starting to rotate around the center more inward and tightly. Should indicate pressure dropping down in the center and you can guess the rest. I hope recon is fun tomorrow..

I don’t see why everyone is suddenly doubting Teddy. I believe the NHC was wrong to bump down its intensity.

I'd personally estimate 90 kt - assuming a T5.0 analysis. For all we know, Recon may find a major (Joaquin had a similar structure and incredibly deep cloud tops in 2015).

Not a meteorologist, in fact more of an idiot than anything. You should probably check with the NHC or a local NWS office for official information.

I would be surprised if this doesn't have 115 MPH winds right now.

What a beast of a storm.

Looks like a strengthening Cat 3 storm, could very easily make it to Cat 5. Highly unlikely but with the way this season is going could go for Tip and Patricia records.

I'm surprised it wasn't upgraded to that in the 5 AM advisory.

NHC seems pretty set on the recurve scenario, showing it losing longitude at the 120HR point as it nears 40N. Are they discounting the model solutions that show it getting captured and yanked west in a case of "I don't even wanna go there"?

130kt is a good bet for peak intensity.
