Chad:

These were taken in New Whiteland, IN around my house and also on U.S. 31 last night near Franklin, IN. We are located in Johnson County just one county south of Indianapolis. We got 18 inches on the ground here.

Chad,

That's a great idea. The next snowstorm we have in the greater NYC area, I'll be glad to e-mail some photos.

Amazing though Don that NYC got a SQUALL Line with this storm instead of a crippling snow. How much are your temps dropping?

I agree with you, Michael. This squall line featured torrential rains and a period of very strong winds that brought down some trees and powerlines. Earlier, the temperature surged to 59°.

Incredible!! It is down to 6 degrees here now with the 18 inches of snow on the ground. It's literally a "Large Icebox" outside. Wind chill advistories overnight too

No problem bro! This storm's full impact I don't think will be realized until 1-2 years down the road. This is truly one of the great storms of our time.

Now it looks like the west is going to get some and maybe even New Orleans?!?!?

Haven't uploaded mine yet, but I found a ton of awesome pictures from WAVE3 out of Louisville.

Then I guess nobody is at Whiteland Raceway doing any Christmas Eve go-karting today, huh? Enjoy your snow. Hope it's gone by Memorial Day.

You have been there? Did you use to live in Whiteland? That is just a couple of miles away from me. I actually live off Ashland Ave there (Off Tracy Rd that crosses 31)

The Blue River's banks covered with snow! I have fond memories of canoeing it. Lots of cool pictures there. Can't wait to see yours!

http://community.webshots.com/user/ohiostorm1 is where I keep all my pictures I've taken so far this year and of the President's Day Storm of 2003. Check them out and take as many as you like for your page.

Chad,

I got an error message when I tried to attach and e-mail the photos to you.

Here are some photos that I took this morning at Montauk Point, New York from the 12/26-27/2004 snowstorm:

I would love to see the beach after it snows. Does the salt have an effect on it just like when you put salt on roads?

Ohiostorm,

I didn't find much of an impact from the spray off the Ocean. Then again, the salt content of the water is far lower than that of the rock salt that is laid on the highways.
