BTW, I feel bad for any innocent children who die because Hamas cowards fight from schools and hospitals.

But remember, Palestinians celebrated the 9-11 attacks on New York and Washington.

and some wonder why I support indiscriminate area bombing

A new front of this conflict is now opened in the Northern Israeli/Lebanon border.

Rockets were fired from Lebanon

JERUSALEM (CNN) -- Four rockets struck northern Israel from Lebanon on Thursday, wounding two people, Israeli police and emergency medical services said.

The Lebanese Army issued a statement, saying the rockets were launched by "an unknown group" and that the Israeli retaliatory fire inflicted no casualties.

The rockets hit near the city of Nahariya, located about six miles from the Lebanese border, police said. The Israeli military said it returned fire toward the source of the rockets after the attack.

Schools and kindergartens were closed in Nahariya and the nearby town of Shlomi, the Israel Defense Forces reported.

The Israeli military warned civilians in the western Galilee region to stay close to shelters in the aftermath of Thursday's attack

one note: The topic is inaccurate as there is no country of Palestine. In addition, the PLO is not supporting Hamas. Maybe Israel vs Gaza would be appropriate

What was the PLO became Fatah. The PLO was a Soviet KGB invention, run by Romanian intelligence, who claimed to be nationalists and Marxists. In the 1970s and 1980s, seemingly disparate terrorist groups, like the Italian Red Brigades, the Japanese Red Army, the Irish Republican Army and the PLO all received assistance and guidance from Russia and Russia's proxies, Syria and Libya.

It wasn't until Hamas and Islamic Jihad started gaining more popularity among average Palestinians by conducting suicide attacks against civilians and using Islamic rhetoric as justification, that the PLO even started using Islam as an excuse. The PLO (now Fatah) had 'Christian' members, like spokeswoman Hanan Ashwari, and George Habash, who led the splinter offshoot from the PLO, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine.

Interesting, really, that Persia (renamed Iran, Farsi for "Aryan" by the late Shah of Iran's father, because the Persians are Aryan, and he was a fan of Hitler, and wanted to distinguish his people from the Semitic Arabs and Jews) has traditionally been an ally of Israel. Cyrus the Great liberated the Israelis from slavery in Babylon (Iraq).

Shia and Persian Iran seems able to find both Shia (Hezb'Allah) and Sunni (Islamic Jihad and Hamas) Arab terrorist groups to do its bidding, including suicide bombing. The mullahs talk a great deal about the glory of martyrdom, but very few Iranians are actually dying for the cause.

I recommend Mark Steyn for further reading on this topic.

35 bodies found in rubble

GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip – A Palestinian health official says the bodies of 35 people have been found in the rubble of a Gaza Strip battle zone.

Dr. Moaiya Hassanain of the Palestinian Health Ministry says the bodies were discovered Thursday during a three-hour pause in fighting. Israel agreed to the lull to allow aid shipments into Gaza.

Hassanain says some of the bodies were discovered in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City. The area has seen some of the heaviest fighting between Israeli troops and Hamas militants in recent days.

He says it's not clear how many militants were killed because the remains were in poor condition. But he says women and children were among the dead.

Hassanain says close to 750 Palestinians have been killed in Israel's 13-day offensive.

Women and children are always in the rubble. Clean words can't describe my thoughts on the human shield tactic.

If you come outside during a standoff shooting at the police while holding a baby in your arms, that child's death is your own crime.

I sense that Hamas and Gaza are about to crack since they are thinking of negotiating. Israel needs to increase the pressure even further at this point, and strike while the Hamas and Gaza morale is low

U.N. Convoy Attacked

GAZA CITY, Gaza (CNN) -- Israeli forces fired on a U.N. aid convoy Thursday in Gaza, killing two aid workers, during a three-hour truce that Israel set up to allow humanitarian aid to reach civilians, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said.

"The U.N. is in close touch with the Israeli authorities about a full investigation of this and other incidents, and about the need for urgent measures to avoid them in the future."

As a result of Thursday's fatal attack on its aid convoy, the U.N. relief agency will suspend activities in Gaza until the Israeli military can guarantee the safety of its staff, said the agency's chief spokesman, Chris Gunness, in Jerusalem.

The humanitarian agency provides food and relief supplies to about 80 percent of Gaza's 1.5 million people. At least 50 trucks carrying humanitarian goods and diesel fuel crossed into Gaza on Thursday. Images emerge of Israeli troops in Gaza »

A spokeswoman for the Israeli military said it is not aware of the attack near the Erez Crossing but said Hamas militants sometimes have targeted U.N. aid trucks to take food.

U.N. Security Council passes Resolution calling for a Cease-fire,not unanimus as U.S. Abstains

UNITED NATIONS –The U.N. Security Council has approved a resolution calling for an immediate and durable cease-fire between Hamas militants and Israeli forces now fighting in the Gaza Strip. Thursday night's vote was 14-0 with the United States abstaining. It came on the 13th day of an Israeli air and ground offensive against the Islamic group Hamas, which rules Gaza and has been launching rockets and mortars into southern Israel for years.

The United States, Israel's closest ally, and Arab nations that have close ties to Hamas negotiated the text of the resolution. But it will be up to Israel and Hamas to decide to stop their military activities.

"We are all very conscious that peace is made on the ground while resolutions are written in the United Nations," British Foreign Secretary David Miliband said. "Our job here is to support the efforts for peace on the ground and to help turn the good words on paper into changes on the ground that are desperately needed."

Hamas Still Strong,Will not wave White Flag

RAFAH, Egypt (CNN) -- A senior Hamas official who had crossed the border into Egypt from Gaza said Thursday his fighters are "still strong" and vowed to continue fighting despite a continuing ground and air assault by Israel that has killed more than 700 people in the Palestinian territory.

"We will not wave the flag and we will try to protect our people, said Hamid. "But I want to say that we as Palestinian people want to live in peace, security -- but I think [Israel's] occupation force will not give us the chance."

Israelis /Hamas Continue the Fight Despite U.N. Cease-Fire

JERUSALEM – Israeli jets and helicopters bombarded Gaza Friday and Hamas responded with a barrage of rockets on two cities as both sides defied a U.N. call for an immediate cease-fire.

One Israeli airstrike killed two Hamas militants and another unidentified man, while another flattened a five-story building in northern Gaza, killing at least seven people, including an infant, Hamas officials said. Israeli aircraft struck more than 30 targets before dawn, and there were constant explosions after first light.

By midday, 19 Palestinians had been killed, pushing the death toll to more than 760 and in the two-week-old conflict, according to Gaza health officials who say at least half of those killed were civilians. Thirteen Israelis have also been killed.

A U.N. Security Council resolution approved Thursday night called urgently for an immediate, durable and fully respected cease-fire, leading to the full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza. The U.S., Israel's closest ally and a veto-wielding member of the Security Council, abstained.

U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights calls for War Crimes investigation in Gaza

GENEVA – The U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights called Friday for an independent war crimes investigation in Gaza after reports that Israeli forces shelled a house full of Palestinian civilians, killing 30 people.

Navi Pillay told an emergency meeting of the U.N. Human Rights Council that the harm to Israeli civilians caused by Hamas rockets was unacceptable, but did not excuse any abuses carried out by Israeli forces in response.

Pillay went further in an interview with the British Broadcasting Corp., saying an incident in Gaza City this week "appears to have all the elements of war crimes."

The U.N. Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs said Israeli troops evacuated Palestinian civilians to a house in the Zeitoun neighborhood on Jan. 4, then shelled the building 24 hours later.

The U.N. agency said 110 people were in the house, according to testimony from four witnesses.

On Thursday, the international Red Cross said the Israeli army refused rescuers permission to reach wounded people in the neighborhood for four days. Israel said the delay was caused by fighting in the area.

Pillay told the Geneva-based rights council that all parties to the conflict had a duty to care for the wounded and avoid targeting health workers, hospitals and ambulances.

Violations of international humanitarian law may amount to war crimes for which individuals should be held accountable, she said.

The 47-member council, which is dominated by Arab and African countries, is debating a resolution condemning Israel for its actions in Gaza. The motion could be delayed until Monday.
