Dear Garnetcat5:
So far Katy seems to be pretty nice although there's not too much to do at this nice; new Marrriott Suites hotel; again it is very nice though; less than 3 months old. My father and I have eaten at several places near this hotel; neither one of us know this area very well but we have managed to venture out over to a Mason Road and have found several other places to eat.
I did locate an Office Depot store over on Fry Road; was planning to purchase a CRT monitor, a new keyboard and other computer accessories to hook up to an old computer my brother who lives in Columbus, Texas sent to me yesterday; an old PC with WIN 98 but the management and staff at Office Depot on Fry Road acted like they could care less if they made a sale so I did a 180 and got myself out of there.
There's a real nice Super Wal-Mart near our hotel; called them earlier today and couldn't believe that they didn't sell one CRT monitor; only LCD's. This hotel has only one computer in the lobby and you have to take a number to use it.
Hopefully later this week I'll get to return to Biloxi once I learn that the water in my neighborhood is safe to drink and bathe in but if this latest storm tracks this way; towards Texas; I might just decide to stay put here in Katy until it blows itself out.
The hotel management has been very nice here and have told me I can stay here through September 30th. I will say this it has been very hot and windy here since we arrived; a very hot dry heat not like anything we have to experience back home in Biloxi; very hot and very dry; this area could certainly use some rain. The grass at our hotel is a nice golden brown.

it's starting to look more and more like he may be right...
the NHC is the outlier now...
The official forecast is adjusted to the
north or right over the Gulf...but not as far as the model
consensus.
very possible TX may only get North winds out of this...
Time will tell...
