it was a rainy and stormy day around lake Winnebago. Menasha is on the northern edge of Lake Winnebago. Some of the thunderstorms were severe and in the Fond Du Lac vacinity, they included tornadoes or cold weather funnels (funnel clouds). I just happened to be driving in and around the FDL area and was drenched with heavy rain. After FDL, around the Eden area...there was a wall cloud...with an associated Tornado. I could only see the wall cloud, I was on the wrong side of the thunderstorm to see the tornado.

Other than that, a pretty boring weekend. Work meetings came a calling, so I had to go home.

Sounds pretty exciting weatherwise up your way Shannon.

Thanks for the welcome back Joshua. I have to say that I needed a break away from home... and being by the lake always helps. :) It is some of the most serene times in my life.

Sandi... I got the other box of books. Thanks so much! :D You are such a sweetheart for doing that! Plus... you have a great taste in books may I add.

I have to take my sister to the doctor tomorrow so we will see how that goes. Everyone enjoy your evening!

Good Monday Morning Everyone!

This will be an active week for me, leaving for Florida Tuesday morning... will be home around 2:30 Eastern Time, Tuesday afternoon.

Hopefully everyone had a fine first weekend in June... boy has the time gone by quickly, already the second week of June this week!

Shannon, I'll say you had some active weather "up there" in Wisconsin!

Welcome back Garrett, I notice you didn't post much during another weekend. Busy every weekend, eh? :)

I wish you a better week this week, Joshua. Hopefully the week past could of been worse. Think of it that way if it indeed could of been. :)

I will be back on the boards (maybe here on the Front Porch) during Monday evening. Later everyone.....

Good Monday Morning to ALL!!

Short week-ends..........seems that Monday comes as soon as Friday is over!

Garrett, I have about 3 more boxes I can send you......I have told many paople about your mission for the library and I have a trunk full!! Let me know! I will try to get them out this week, there are paperback and hardcover. I can also send many issues of current magazines. I know our library has a magazine section where people come in and read and relax.

I hope everyone has a very blessed day! i really need to get my Monday going.........there are alot of people who need their paychecks this week!!

Mostly sunny here...supposed to be a little cooler with highs in the 90's for two or three days. That means breezes too which won't help the fires up Dennis' way. Cooler temps should help so maybe the two combinations will be helpful.

Got a report that granddaughter Emma took 8 steps by herself yesterday! Trouble is just beginning! We were going to wait to see her at our place on the 4th of July...but instead have decided to drive on over on the 20th for a couple of days.

Have a good week everyone.

Howdy everyone.

Tom... you are correct. Most weekends I am a very busy guy, but mainly doing things I love. The last few years I have been so busy I haven't spent much time at the lake, but I already have twice this year so I am doing better. :)

Sandi...whenever you would like to send them will work for me. You still have my address, right?

Speaking of pools... the deck is coming along slowly. I think I am going to jump in the pool this afternoon because it is a little warm after a cool and pleasant weekend. If I am not back and posting by in the morning you might tell someone that I may still be in the pool because the ladder is off and I may not be able to get out!!

Have a great afternoon and Skyman... keep us updated on Emma. :)

Guess I got you confused with someone else Jeremy, sorry.

I got the day off of work, just woke up from a nap and now I am here to post. :D

It looked like we had a lot of drizzle last night, because there were wet spots on the ground when I woke up this morning. :o That is a good thing though. ;)

Have a good rest of your M***** (Chad hates that word). Joshua

Rain and Thunderstorms expected after midnight sometime...I can't wait!

Reports from NWS in Green Bay...Yesterday's thunderstorms produced cold air Funnels (Funnel Clouds), but thankfully, no damage in Fond Du Lac and Southern Winnebago Counties.

Poppysky...Emma took her first steps :D :D That is awesome news! You'll really get your exercise chasing after her.

You guys enjoy a pool more than I do...Its bad enough that I work in one year round! Yup, those lovely YMCA pools. The pay gets me through college.

Hello everyone! :D

Garrett, it is good that you do things you love during the weekend. I assume the second thing you would love to do over the weekend would be accessing Storm2K. :D

Shannon, enjoy your "after midnight thunderstorms." :)

Next time I return to the site I will be back in Florida. I will be on my way to T.F. Green Airport at 5:30am ET for an 8:25am ET flight to Orlando International Airport.

Later everyone! :)

Today started out rainy, but the afternoon was great. I even got the lawn mowed when I got home. Tomorrow it's supposed to be good too. I'll save that for the trim! Then it's back to wet again I guess.

Of course Storm2K is one of my loves Tom, but I have to mix it up every once and a while. I am online here quite frequently during the week. Some people might even be happy that they have a weekend break from me here on S2K. :)
