Really bad in St George s power went out over an hour ago data on cell phone barely functions. ..Fay did us a favor I think!

Lol yeah I figured that but a lot of others have tried that method and blew out anyway.

I guess they had a type error, it should had been a sustained winds of 67 mph and a wind gust of 83mph at the Bermuda airport.

More likely gust to 107mph confused with kph.


Check out the shortwave loop. The eye is tightening at landfall.

Hurricane force easterly winds are now gusting to 100knots/115mph across the most exposed parts of the Island as the northern eyewall moves north-northeast across the area. Satellite data indicates that seas outside the reef are 30 feet and still building.

BWS will attempt to release a weather balloon in the eye of Gonzalo as it passes over Bermuda, in approx an hour.

Apparently the St. George's Mid Ocean Club reported a sustained wind of 115 mph (elevated I assume) gusting to 121 mph.
