Re: Texas Spring 2026
Yet another case of the storms arriving several hours ahead of scheduled forecast because outflow accelerates the effective cold front down. Good news, at least the rain has made it here and the area of storms doesn't look like it is passing too quickly.
More lightning/thunder than rain but I'm hearing drops.

I literally have gotten a few drops out of this garbage event. Typical.

Maybe for you but somebody's getting a good soaking in SE Texas right now. Reports of over 3 inches now in parts of Harris county.

Pretty much a bust for most of the Hill Country. I ended up getting 0.01, amazing.
I won’t be getting my hopes up for anything to change this spring. Years of never-ending drought and repeated underwhelming events out here.
There’s not going to be any water left soon.

My guess is things will improve with the transition to El Nino . We just started Spring my friend. Patience.

Re: Texas Spring 2026
Yep, also the soil moisture content is low. And that makes it harder to get widespread heavy rainfall. That should correct itself over time as we transition to a wetter pattern.

Some nice bonus rain overnight and currently ongoing across the SA metro points south. Keep it coming.
Another round late Tuesday. Great start to Spring

I don’t know where you are in the HC, but the Stone Oak area got a decent downpour and brief marble sized hail yesterday afternoon. Now we’re getting a solid shower right now. Been off & showers since 7AM.

And i got absolutely nothing from this 2nd batch of moisture, 0 inches in total for the last 2 days, so much for a “ wet “ pattern

Just because one doesn't get rain in their own backyard (although I get the frustration Stratton) doesn't mean the pattern didn't verify my friend. Many just to your east received several inches of much needed rainfall so they would probably disagree with that characterization.
Despite the ongoing rain today that many are receiving/have picked up, another chance arrives Tuesday evening into early Wednesday so the wet pattern continues before we see a break and rise in temps late next wk.

Btw you know what's not going to verify though....that "cold shot for Texas during Spring Break".
80's and maybe 90's by next weekend.
