Euro and Gfs have flip flopped this year. No model has been good at all this year in my opinion but King Euro has really struggled.

And for our next cartoon, the 0Z Crazy Uncle (CMC) takes Invest 98L, develops it into a TC, turns it WNW underneath highs, develops it into a 994 mb strong TS, and hits near Daytona bch/St. Aug. next Wed night/Thu 9/30-10/1:

Here's an interesting coincidence: the 0Z Euro has a low in about same spot and same time off FL but it is from the Gulf system rather than 98L, very weak, and moving E not W.

The Euro has some 1006MB low just off the east coast of Florida in the long-range. It also has Ida north of the Lesser Antilles heading W or WSW:

Correct. Just that the 12z wasn't out past day 10 at the time of my above post.

GFS up to it's tricks again, dissipating Ida and then forming a storm out of thin air and making it a major.

00z GFS Still shows a minimal hurricane, but has it skirting Hawaii.

00z Euro on board. Skirting Hawaii to the west. Really weird hurricane.

Do the models still show something developing and moving in west (south central Texas way)?

both Euro and GFS want to form a storm in the central Atlantic east of Bermuda in about a week. It's been showing up for a few runs now.

Are the models seeing the wave in the Atlantic nearer to Africa?
