Just here in Vero. Been raining for about an hour and winds have picked up a bit. Getting gusty.

Re: ATL: NICOLE - Hurricane - Discussion
weird looking storm right now...hopefully it is not going NW, don't need it spending any more time over those bath waters and regrouping

Biggest eye ever??
Looks more like a typical intense cold core cyclone you would see in January or February off the east coast.

Looks almost NW in that loop
Man, it sure is hard to tell from that short satellite loop. It still looks due west to me.
Hope everyone stays safe.

Ewww what's that
Reminds me of when Frances had a large ragged eye on the east coast back in 2004. Not nearly as strong, of course.

It's squally here in Wellington. Not much else going on around here... I guess, if anything, it'll pick up overnight for a bit.

The dry air has been the main cause that Nicole is not much stronger.

So, interestingly, here in coastal Brevard, the 10:00 forecast track has moved closer to us. But...the chances of 50kt winds has dropped from 22%to 14%.
Maybe you're on to something.

NW winds 10-20mph in Boca Raton with gusts from 25-29mph. Looks like main rainbands might be over with. Actually feels cool outside and not like your typical tropical system. Expect SW winds tomorrow and some sun peeking out also.
