How completely shocking... Not

That would be trending back towards a more typical El Nino sequence. Cold early, warm up through December and then return of cold in January & February. However, we all remember waiting for the cold to come back last winter

Steve McCauley mentions a sleet pellet or two for Tuesday morning. We shall see.

Tomorrow evening hmmm maybe rush hour even. I'm guessing it's gonna be a few sleet pellets as it ends at best.

...Wintry Precipitation Possible Monday Night...

A strong cold front will arrive Monday afternoon with temperatures
quickly dropping through the remainder of the afternoon and
evening hours. Behind the front, scattered to areas of light rain
are expected to develop in the evening hours. As temperatures
continue to fall, some of this light precipitation could
transition to freezing rain or sleet as the temperature falls to
32 degrees and below. This is most likely to occur in the Hill
Country and Edwards Plateau overnight Monday, but there could be a
window where precipitation is still falling when temperatures
reach the freezing mark around 4-6 AM Tuesday morning in the
northern I35 corridor. At this time only minor accumulations are
expected on exposed surfaces as the intensity of the
precipitation is expected to be light.
This forecast will continue
to evolve through Monday afternoon and changes to the forecast
are possible.

63 muggy degrees currently. When I pick up my daughter from school at 4 it should be in the 30's with wind chills in the 20's. Pretty cool.

:uarrow: Yep funster, the wind will be brutal later. Wind gusts in Wichita Falls are blowing over 50 mph at 38 degrees. It's getting close.

This evening could get interesting from the Hill Country up into NE TX with a chance for freezing rain or a mix. Best chance for moisture to hang on long enough to accumulate will be in the Hill Country, but further north likely has more of a chance for it to be a dusting of snow. I will be keeping a close eye on radar and temperature trends. Likely a very minor event at best. Main event will be the very cold windchills (10-15 in N and NE TX, around 20 in Central and SE TX) tomorrow morning.

This is some of the strongest winds I’ve ever seen on a front. Lost the trampoline which was anchored 3 ft into the ground with steel cable. Lost part of the barn roof. Also, it’s already below freezing with a windchill of 15.
