O town. I get a sick feeling as well thinking about Tammy. But that could be because I have a wild crazy friend with that name. But there is SOMETHING(dont think it is Stan) out there that doesn't sit well with me. Last time I had this sick sick feeling, was about 5-7 days before Katrina. I get physically sick to my stomach, serious GUT FEELING. Plus I can feel it in certain parts of my body and NO I do not have arthritis. Was able to predict Snow Storms with these weird pains, refered by me as ghost pains. They move, and get worse, the worse the weather will become. The sick stomach makes it even more so. Of course, everyone thought the idea was crazy until I felt 100% better physically after Katrina. I have began to make a log....LOLOL....

well you and i are both in SC so if you feel it's coming here PM me! :D

LOLOL.... I doubt my so called "feelers" tell me where it is going.
I wish! Heck, I would be rich by now.
Honestly, I have been doing this weird little ritual whenever we have something even thinking about coming this way and so far it has worked.
"O" pretty much went out of her way to avoid us. :D

I'd watch Phillipe, since I first read the name list, Phillipe sparked a bad feeling in my gut. Most likely, Phillipe will be a TS not making any landfall.

Well, if I were you, I'd start paying attention to your hurricane dreams. Rita certainly smacked around Lake Charles.

Don't forget about Stan the Man™, though. By the way, if Stan ends up being a big one, and you all start using that nickname, you better pay royalties to me, because I called it first.

It's not too hard to say that a storm will be big when it has already occurred.

Anyway I agree with you about Stan.

Hmmm.... That was only a few days before Rita made landfall near Lake Charles. Just like I had a dream a few months before that Katrina was going to be the big one for New Orleans and the MS Gulf Coast.

And how is everyone feeling today with their "gut" feelings???
Personally, I am not as concerned with Tammy as I am with the other things brewing out there. I use brewing because at this point we don't exactly know what is in mother natures pot of goodies.
Any more dream sequences?? lol
I will say that my "gut" is still working.......as well as the weird pains I get.
And I am not partial to the East Coast either.

Ouch.....why did I go and open my big mouth???? I post this and then poof, we have invests more waves ect....... feeling a bit guilty

Took me forever to dig up this thread...

BIG NAMES IN 2005... (parenthesis indicates a little big, but not sure)
Data is based on intensity, damages, and records broken of storms.
Dennis
Emily
Katrina
(Ophelia)
Rita
Stan
(Vince)
Wilma
(Alpha)
(Beta)

Post verifications here. (Although with one more month in the season, may need to bump this again in the future.)

I wouldn't call Ophelia a "big" storm. Vince is significant not because of it's intensity (which wasn't much), but because it was the first ever tropical cyclone to make landfall in Spain. Alpha was significant for obvious reasons (for time we've had to use the Greek alphabet!). I'm a little less certain about Beta -- yes, it marked the largest number of hurricanes in a year, etc, but it doesn't seem to have had the "WOW!" impact of the first advisory issued for Alpha.
