I am 38 and have been tracking since 1979. Lived in Florida for David and was in MS for Frederick that year. I can remember interest before that, but that was when it got serious.

At the end of this, I hope someone will graph the results, and post it, as earlier in this thread. That would be useful to refer to, from time to time.

18 and single.

Started tracking the weather after two straight days of tornado watches in Sept of 93 in VA... and became deeply interesting in after the Blizzard of 96.

I am a 28 year old female. I don't post often (because I know next to nothing!) but I read a lot. Thanks for all the great information. I became interested in hurricanes in 1989 when the inn that my family used to visit every summer was taken out by Hugo (Tip Top Inn on Pawley's Island, SC for anyone who cares). It was my first exposure to the force of a hurricane. I really began following the tropics when we moved to Miami 3 years ago. I found storm2k last year and it's been an amazing resource.

Come on Dixie. If Ron and I and a couple of others can do it, so can you. Have you considered that you might be delusional if you THINK you remember Davis??? That might be more telling than your chronological age. :A: ;;Lynn

PS I'm sitting here in the dark with my laptop and dial up as we just had a small storm go through and two buildings in our complex had the electricty go out. Of course, one had to be ours as most of the others are empty!!! Go figure!

I'm 42 and I've always loved to study the weather. Moved to New Orleans in 1991 and have been tracking canes ever since.

Alrighty folks, here's the update (except for the last few posters - sorry get ya'll on the next update)

Of the 132 members (WOW) who posted their vitals, our most elder member is now indicated at 63 years of age and our youngest member remains 14.

The average age of the board members now works out to 37.1 years.
The average time tracking 'canes is 21.6 years.

And here's the table, sorted alphabetically. Thanks again, Stormcenter, for starting this thread - the information is truly interesting, to say the least!

Well I guess Im alittle late on this one lol. Thats what work will do to ya, I havent been around for the last few days. Still cleaning up from Ivan and Dennis round this way. Anyways, Im turning 18 in 4 days! Been a weather nut since as far back as I can remember. Started tracking hurricanes when I moved to Florida in 2002. I thought I had seen it all when I was afffected by TS Hanna and Isidore that year. Boy was I wrong  Little did I know what last season and this season would bring. Great thread by the way. Seems as though Im a youngin' compared to most of ya'll.

Yeah, this thread has definitely grown!! Don't imagine Stormcenter saw this coming, but I think a lot of folks really appreciate the opportunity. Anyway, we'll update the table again sometime soon and get you and the others added in...
