21z SREF was way south too. I think every model halved totals or took them away entirely for DFW except the 3km NAM. But the NAM hasn’t been terribly reliable as of late. I should be surprised all the models screwed over Dallas for the 6th year in a row but truthfully I’m not. I’m just used to continually getting the short end of the stick when our climate is supposed to net us 2 inches of snow a year. Oh well. Onto the next storm or pray for a temperature bust.

03z HRRR is just humiliating... Cold rain for areas of DFW east of I-35 while points to our south get dumped on by heavy snow.

My calculation in leaving West Texas to come to Fort Worth instead of Waco or Austin because “snow will be more likely” has proven fatally wrong. I may need to look at moving to KC. Lol.

I think I’m just gonna log off tonight. I’ve seen enough busts the past 4 years on this forum to know where this is headed...I’ll check back in in the morning but I’d be surprised if it’s anything better than a cold rain at this point.

you know its funny... the first few years the lack of snow didn't bother me. I mean I grew up in Alabama I saw plenty of winters without it... it was ever since it started snowing south of us I was done... and here we go again... :double:

see south of me in Alabama was basically Florida

Don't give up you never know what mother nature or the good lord will change. In Dec 2017 here in NE Brazos county we got over 4" out of nowwhere. I will not believe we will have snow here until my wether rock has snow on it!

That is the low track it swings south around Abilene to Waco then back up towards Shreveport basically which if you notice is where the heaviest snow generally is modeled

Right, but what's causing that swing down and back up, basically screwing us?

If that was true, wouldn’t you see a corresponding dip on the southern side? There isn’t one.

EWX (AUS/SAT) seeing the trends tonight and increasing snowfall potential further south. Definitely looking like a deeper and colder (further south) system than models anticipated

The pattern is ripe for you DFW folk to cash in on one of these systems. The GFS is already hinting at another chance for y’all next weekend.
