Where are you? On that note are user locations not showing up on the board anymore?

When I first walked out this morning the cloud deck was still high but clouds are thickening and getting lower and grayer. What does this mean? Right now not a thing. :D

Thanks. I just edited my signature to help others know where I'm posting from about more easily, perhaps others could too. Just a thought to help serve the board and the lurkers. Happy Snow Day!

Edit: so on mobile phones location does not show....... just checked on my desktop.....

Edit 2: if I turn my phone to landscape locations show.......

Thanks for the updates y'all! I'm impatiently waiting in Longview to see how this unfolds throughout the day. It's exciting to hear about snow to my west! I'm just hoping I'm not too far north to get a decent snowfall.

All the precip on radar just seems to crater at I-30 as it moves NE. Frustrating!!

As Porta has mentioned, elevation is a huge player with this system. it’s why the model output along and East of I-35 looks discontinuous with regards to snow accumulations output. You need moderate to heavy precip to bring the cold air aloft down to the surface without it, it’s just too warm at the surface. Also explains why those north of DFW don’t setup well, precip is likely not going to be heavy enough to overcome warm layer at surface.
