Re: ATL: ONE - Potential Tropical Cyclone
Rainfall will probably be a greater threat than previously expected if this slow motion continues.

I mean, they upgraded PTC 3 to Claudette last year after it made landfall in Louisiana, and TS Kate existed and had a name while being a pizza slice made of clouds, so they'll probably call this TD 1 soon enough

Re: ATL: ONE - Potential Tropical Cyclone
Definitely improving in shape and with convection occuring closer to where a center may form. Its definitely lacking a well defined center, and surface pressures seem to confirm this. That could well change this evening but i wouldnt necessarily bet the farm on that. Probably a better shot to deepen once a more prounced NE motion commences.

Decent little blowup of convection near the center there. I'm thinking we should see TS Alex within the next 24 hours. Won't be anything crazy for FL but a good reminder that hurricane season is here and people need to be prepared for the months ahead.

NO
Classic early season uber sheared TS but will come with some gnarly bands and or storms for those E and SE of the center. Always be mindful of the radar.

This shouldn't really have much of a chance to become a hurricane, most likely a typical sheared June TS. Once it gets past FL and into the open Atlantic it might have a chance to get a little stronger but the odds of it becoming a hurricane are very low.

Re: ATL: ONE - Potential Tropical Cyclone
Very clear decoupling of the MLC and LLC on satellite. Strong wind shear hitting this one.

My posts are my own personal opinion, defer to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and other NOAA products for decision making during hurricane season.
