Well, at this point in the game and as we enter week two of this ordeal, I'm waiting for the breaking news to interupt everything with the "BREAKING NEWS: Britian bombs Iran." stuff...Iran is playing with a ticking bomb, and if they dont defuse it soon, it is going to go 'boom'. (highlighted the waiting part so someone doesnt think the breaking news piece is real!)

The European Union has called for the immediate realease of the soldiers. If Iran doesn't listen, proper measures will be taken. I can only guess what these measures will be.

I'm glad that the EU is sticking together on this.

While I am happy the EU is getting involved, the UN needs to also get more deeply involved. It is obvious that Iran is thumbing their nose at the UN.

What the UN said about this conflict were nothing but some empty words, which will only give Iran the impression they can get away with everything. It's typical though

The U.N. has been worthless for about 4 years now. It's so ridiculous...

Any actions the UN would take would involve worthless sanctions

Yep. Sanctions, sanctions, sanctions.... that does not work. If anything, it made things worse.

Most of the sanctions would only hurt the Iranian people and not the leaders. And it's the leaders of Iran we have to target, not the innocent civilians. Sanctions didn't work in Iraq, for example, and only made the the lives of civilians more miserable.

If Iran starts to blink you will see it in the iranian news first.

And here is headline BBC news.

The Sunday Telegraph newspaper quoted a defence official as saying London hopes to send a top officer to Iran to give a guarantee the Royal Navy will never knowingly enter its waters without permission.

This would be the end of the conflict right?

The British win with shorts instead of shots?

Doesn't it just send the ridiculous message that Iran's behaviour will be tolerated?

If a man has a gun, but lacks the courage to use it he is at the mercy of a man with a knife. Think about it:

It is sad that USA, UK, and several other Western Countries have the military might to put Iran in its' place, but seem to lack the will to do so.
