The area of unsettled weather in the Eastern Caribbean has not gotten better organized this evening. It has the potential to develop into a tropical depression in the next day or two. An Air Force Reconnaissance aircraft is scheduled to investigate the system tomorrow afternoon.

Just to make it quick,

If there is not center of low pressure, then there is no convergence in the lower levels, then any convection cannot sustain itself and therefore has to die. Then, diurnal maximum comes along, enhances convection, and you get a healthier-looking system.

No LLC = no convection can persist.

If you are a Tropics Watcher (which we are) then this is really the only game in town.

With the dirth of systems in 2007; people are latching on to any possibility.

Look back at Fox 13's comment in this thread where he joked that many wanted to sit on Santa's lap and ask for a storm.

Pretty funny and pretty accurate. :D

Not impressed.
It had an MLC that looked nearly this good 3 days ago. It hasn't organized any further since yesterday.

Deep convection is gone but I actually think it looks more organized now than ever.

I'm not too impressed either, however I do think this looks much better now than it did 3 days ago.

Actually Id say we see the first signs before then, as the sun is just now setting, and in about 2-3 hours things will start turning around...
