Severe Tropical Cyclone Freddy (Category 3) was located at 8:00 pm AWST near
15.9S 113.0E, that is 670 km northwest of Karratha and moving west southwest at
15 kilometres per hour.

Severe Tropical Cyclone Freddy continues as a category 3 system and lies well
northwest of the Pilbara. It is expected to intensify further to a category 4
system Thursday night. Severe Tropical Cyclone Freddy may remain at tropical
cyclone intensity for the next seven days whilst moving westwards over open
waters of the Indian Ocean.

Severe Tropical Cyclone Freddy poses no threat to the Western Australian coast.

The next Information Bulletin will be issued at 3:00 am AWST.

Location: within 35 kilometres of 15.6 degrees South, 109.2 degrees East , 690 kilometres south southeast of Christmas Island and 880 kilometres northwest of Exmouth .
Movement: west southwest at 9 kilometres per hour .

Tropical Cyclone Freddy is likely to remain at tropical cyclone intensity as it continues moving towards the west across the Indian Ocean.

Location: within 35 kilometres of 14.8 degrees South, 106.7 degrees East , 495 kilometres south southeast of Christmas Island and 1120 kilometres northwest of Exmouth .
Movement: west northwest at 14 kilometres per hour .

Tropical Cyclone Freddy will continue moving towards the west across the Indian Ocean. It is expected to pass well south of Christmas Island and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands over the next few days.
