Like BayouVenteux said those of us here in the Western portions are currently blissful and happy with the weather. I wish we could have this all year long!!!! Alas, I too fear we will see some more action before it is all over, even though Texas has had its' share already this year.

I agree, the Gulf of Mexico and/or Bay of Campeche may have some tropical development, maybe as early as next week. The wave near 40ºW does bear watching as well.

Moving eastward???
Someone posted that what ever MAY develop in the W. GOM would move eastward. That is possible but highly unlikely. If and that's a BIG if something were to develop in the W. GOM it more than likely move NE, NNE or maybe ENE. It is very rare for tropical systems to move from west to east across the GOM.
