Well, I just got my electricity back!! It was off for over 3 hours, came back on for about 10 minutes or so and then back off again for another 45 minutes or so. And let me tell you it's HOT! I'm so ready for that cold front.
I was getting a strong thunderstorm when the power went out and then it calmed down a little while after it went out. Now, there's a lot more coming. I hope it doesn't go out again!!

A couple of teachers told us to put away our laptops, because they think it's a "distraction", but we're okay.

After over 3 hours on the road I finally made it home. As I entered Ft. Bend county (country, two-lane roads) I hit a deluge. It was horrific! My arms hurt from holding my car on the road. I had to crawl along this dark road and pray the water wasn't deep cuz I couldn't see anything. That was really the only scary part of the drive home. LA be careful today, stay home if you can! I am glad the other Houstonians made it home safe and sound. Unfortuately my daughter was doing a research paper on the computer when I finally got home and I just simply took a shower, ate and fell asleep before she was done. Again, all of those dealing with this storm system today be careful.

Glad you're okay, Garnet. :)

SG, sorry about your loss of power. I'm sure that wasn't fun.

I slept through almost everything. Woke up once around 2:30 am and it was raining but nothing heavy and no thunder or lightning.

I'm glad it's all over for our area.
