The poor thing had a big gash on her back, was bruised, and she hid under the furniture for the next 3 weeks.

If they did that to that poor dog just think what they would have done to you had you been home!! It is bad enough that people steal from you, but to intentionally hurt an animal makes me madder than hades!!

Lindaloo, if I had been home, they would have most likely ran away, or they would have been in the hospital. (I was much bigger muscle-wise back then.) That's the type of scum that's too cowardly to stand up to a person face to face, but think they're big and bad by hurting a little dog.

Sorry, I'm getting mad all over thinking about it... :grr: :grr:

I had a summer of hell in 2002.... I lived with my dad and my step- sister thought that she owned the house.... anything of mine or my dad's was fair game. Most of the time, I had money stolen....every so often, my bathroom necessities were stolen... to add to the hell, my clothes, and sometimes my music... of course, I got yelled at by her when I went to retrieve the items that were rightfully mine.

My kids had their bikes stolen when they were a lot younger, I have had money stolen when at my sister's house , hubby's car has had window in car broken twice by "friends" of my son's friend. We let it be known that if it happened again the culprits were liable to be electrocuted if they touched the car again. It didn't happen again. They were after the car for joy riding purposes because ther was nothing in the car worth stealing. My gosh, it is just an old Plymouth that goes back and forth to work. It is so old now that it is begining to cost more than it is worth in repair costs.

When I was 7 or 8, my mom's house was robbed. Nothing of mine to my knowledge was stolen, but the radio, TV, VCR, and jewelry was stolen from my mom's room. They never did catch him/her.

Hmmm....about 4 years ago, my daughter (now 25) transferred from Ann Arbor, Mi. to Mesa, Az. We decided to rent a 15 passanger van...remove the back seats....pack up ALL her belongings (and our suitcases) and make the 3 day drive out there. The first day was long.....second day too! We had stopped at a Red Roof Inn in Albaquerque, N.M., and hoped to get a very early start for that last 12 hours of driving.

During the night, someone broke out the passenger window, unlocked the doors and cleaned out the van! Only a small dresser that happened to be facing the outside wall remained.....that meant just a fraction of my daughters clothes had been left....even our clothes were gone! Keepsakes, collections, and personal items were gone! Getting the police to respond was a real challenge! This happens so often there that they don't even like to come out. The only thing that helped us get thru this horrific experience was the knowledge that we were just random targets. If we had been robbed by someone who KNEW us....that would have been worse.

My daughter recently moved back to Michigan! (Yay!) While living in Mesa, she had her apartment broken in to twice....then her car stolen!........p
