Yes I must admit that the pattern I hate the most is a strong la-nina and a strong and consistent positive NAO plus persistent high solar activity ! this equates to a warm/dry winter in the east - the worst possible combination. Reminds me very strongly of 1998. I hope that never happens again ! :x :x :x

throw in a strong RNA pattern and intense ridging all winter east of the Rockies along with the factors I mentioned above, and you have.................
