When did you first go on a date?

My parents wouldn't let me date until i was 15. The week before i turned 15 the best looking guy at one of the catholic high schools asked me out...and my mom said NO! Needless to say he never asked me out again!

I went "out" with a couple of guys in 8th & 9th grade but they weren't official dates.

My first date was when i was 15. A cousin of one of my friends, went out to eat and to see the movie "The Groove Tube"....not an appropriate movie for a first date!

I was 1 week shy of 17. Went to a movie...I don't remember which one..I was under a spell

I was 15, almost 16. It was a school dance, girls invite the boys. I was a nervous wreck! And I didn't even kiss him good-night! Nowadays kids date too young I think. We knew a girl from Nina's Girl Scout days that began dating at age 9. Yes the mother was calling it a date, although the boy and girl were just friends. Sometimes the parents get too caught up in it. So consequently we haven't allowed our daughters to date before 16. Nina's almost 17, hasn't happened yet. And IMHO, there's no rush. Plenty of time for that later.

I was 14. He took me to see The Nutcracker at Jones Hall, his parents drove us. We were in choir together and he was drop dead die gorgeous, long black hair, tall. I was SO thankful he didn't show at our 20th high school reunion-my friends were just waiting for me to go weak in the knees. which I probably would have!
